RULES
The regatta will be sailed under the 2001 to 2004 International Sailing Federation Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) the prescriptions of the SAS, the rules of the individual classes except where amended by the sailing instructions.
ELEGIBILITY & CLASSES
All boats 28' and up are legible to sail. A minimum of five boats constitutes a class.
Racing class & a cruising class (no spinnakers).

Entries will be accepted up to 10:00 on Saturday 25 October 2003.
The entry fee will be R100-00 for early entries, received until 17th October 2003. Late entries will be R130-00. Development teams will be accorded free entry.
REGISTRATION & SKIPPERS BRIEFING & SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Registration will be from 8:00 to 10:00 on Saturday 25th October 2003.
The skippers briefing will be held at the Flying Saucer at 10:30 on 25th October 2003.
The first race will start not before 11:30 on Saturday 25th October.
Sailing instructions will be available to all competitors upon registration at the registration table.
PROGRAMME
A long distance race will be sailed on Saturday 25/10/2003.
A medium distance race will be sailed on Sunday 26/10/2003.
SAFETY REGULATIONS & SCRUTINEERING
Scrutineering will be at the discretion of the race organisers.
Safety regulations will be in accordance with the NKA regulations and individual class rules.
SCORING & HANDICAPS
The low point scoring system as provided in the RRS Appendix A4 of racing rules will apply. Finishing times will be used to determine placings between tied finishers.
LIABILITY
The attention of all competitors is drawn to the fact that participation in the regatta is entirely at their own risk. No responsibility for damage or injury resulting there from will rest with the organising authority, the class associations, the host club or any persons connected with the running of the regatta.
MOORING & ACCOMODATION
Dependant on the water level, Berths will be available at Manten Marina - confirmation required. A limited amount of accommodation is available on request.
COURSES
A list of courses will be provided upon registration. The course to be sailed will be confirmed on the notice board of the committee boat.
PRIZEGIVING
Prize giving will be held at the Flying Saucer at 15:30 on Sunday 26th October 2003.

ENTERTAINMENT
Entertainment on Friday 24th October and Saturday Night - 25th October. This will be a closed party limited to participants and their friends/family.
There will be a jumping castle for the children.
There will be a "Harbour market" with arts and crafts, yummy things to eat and lots more. Anyone requiring a stall to contact the regatta management for more information.
CATERING
Meals will be available at the Saucer Restaurant. Lunch packs will be available. Please book lunch packs in advance.
NSRI
Pick 'n Pay Hypermarket will be making a donation of R 2000-00 to the National Sea Rescue Institute. They have also donated a 15-year-old bottle of Jameson Whiskey, which will be raf-fled with all of the proceeds going to NSRI.
