1. ORGANISING AUTHORITIES
The Racing is organized by the Point Yacht Club (PYC), the Royal Natal Yacht Club (RNYC), the Zululand Yacht Club (ZYC) and the Club Naval (Mozambique) under the authority and sanction of Sailing KZN.

2. RULES
The Competition will be governed by the Rules as defined in the Notice of Race applicable to each of the qualifying races in the competition.

3. CLASSES
The Competition is open to any ocean going monohull keelboat.

4. ELIGIBILITY
All competing yachts shall be in possession of a valid IRC measurement certificate.

8. ENTRIES & LEVIES.
There shall be no additional entry fee for the competition. Entrants will only be liable for entry fees to each of the qualifying races.

9. REGISTRATION.
Registration for any one of the qualifying races will provide automatic entry to this competition.

13. SCHEDULE OF RACING
The following races are scheduled as qualifying races for this competition :-

1. The Sangoma 1 Race - Durban to Richards Bay December 6th 2002 PYC
2. The Sangoma 2 Race - Richards Bay to Durban December 13th 2002 ZYC
3. The Sangoma 3 Race - Durban to Richards Bay On completion of #2 ZYC
4. The Dave Roberts Race - Durban to Richards Bay March 14th 2003 PYC
5. The Inhaca race - Inhaca to Richards Bay April 18th 2003 ZYC
6. The Vasco da Gama - Maputo to Durban July 12th 2003 RNYC

14. SCORING.
Competing Yachts shall be awarded points corresponding to their handicap positions in the official results of the nominated events. The best THREE results ONLY will be totalled to provide the yachts final score.

The Yacht with the lowest Final Score will be awarded the Sailing KZN Blue Water Trophy.

15. PRIZES & PRIZE GIVING.
The Sailing KZN Blue water Trophy will be presented at a function to be advised.
