Dear All,

I regret that due to an oversight by SAS Officers and staff Gareth was not entered into the Athens pre-Olympics, and hence was not allowed to participate.

I do not want to make excuses but rather to apologise to all and specifically to Gareth for this oversight.

The reasons have been identified and systems implemented to prevent a repetition of this nature.

Special thanks to Ross, Danny, Sail Coach, ISAF and NOCSA for trying so hard to remedy the problem.

I trust that Gareth will be able to put this behind him now and concentrate on the future.

We wish him all the best in his endeavor to achieve his goal.
