MRYC League Event
Saturday 15 June
MRYC (for the non enlightened stands for Maritzburg Radio Yacht Club) held their tenth league event for the year on Saturday.
Entries were down on the norm as a result of the Rugby and some necessary father and sons bonding which took place over the week end. Never the less we had 7 entries and in light conditions sailed six races in the afternoon.
The afternoon got off to a good start with Keith Gerson explaining some of the rules. It was some time since we had one of these sessions and it was appreciated by all especially the new faces. Unfortunately at the end of the session the wind disappeared and we sailed the afternoon in light conditions. The racing was extremely close at the top and at the bottom of the fleet and the results show this.

We have several people wanting boats and this is a plea to anyone out there who has a 36" Shipmate for sale or who knows of one. The next event is on June 29 and will be League 11.
