Mirrors threat to Optimist and Dabbies at Nationals this year ....

Dear Sirs

On seeing this message I relayed it to my children, who both crew on Mirrors, and have sailed at the last two Nationals, in the case of my daughter, who is 8 and my son of 12 has sailed since 98 all the nationals, their responses follow:

Natasha - 8 Years Old

I will miss seeing all the friends I have made, it was a lot of fun, but I did get scared of the lightening at Midmar, but my skipper Ian is very big so I managed, pleeeeeeze let us come.

Henio - 12 Years Old

Why are you all so scared of Mirrors, are you trying to kill the sport that I love so much, its so much more fun sailing with lots of other classes. The Mirrors had Wiggleswade booked before you wanted to come, we let you come and let you have the best sailing areas, be sports please, we don't mind coming all the way to you in December, even though we hear there is very little wind.

Now you may have an idea of how our future sailors view us old farts !
