Mike Dann sent us the following report on the annual Kerry Lee Regatta which took place at Pretoria Sailing Club this weekend.

"The Kerry Lee charity regatta, held this past weekend at East Rand Yacht club provided typical winter sailing in Gauteng - chilly but with good winds. The 27 entrants enjoyed good sailing conditions on both Saturday and Sunday with sunshine and winds ranging between 6 and 16 kts. Those that swam will agree that the water is pretty chilly this time of the year ! Victoria Lake Club (VLC) retained the prestigious Kerry Lee trophy fending off Benoni Sailing Club, Pretoria Sailing Club and Florida Yacht Club.

Individual winners were:
Lasers - Gill Waiting (FYC)
Mirrors - Robert Edwards and Brett (ERYC)
Optimist - Bronwyn Klaas (PSC)
Dabchick - Mathew M'Crystal (VLC)
Open Class - Ken Bennett and Evelyn Osborne - GP14 (BSC)

Approx R1,000 was raised from the entry and ERYC added another R1,000 to be donated to a local children's home."
