Des Fairbank submitted the following report on the IOM Radio Sailing KZN Champs that were sailed at the Durban Radio Boat Club this weekend:

"Ten skippers entered the IOM Provincial Championship sailed on Sunday with Gino Pozzibon making use of a SAA Cockpit seat to get his newly imported Gadget down from the Transvaal. Wind conditions were ideal with a light North Easterly pressing the top rigs and strengthening after lunch pressing the No. 2 Rigs. 16 Races were sailed with all boats sailing together. After some excellent racing the event was won by Gino Pozzibon on 24 points followed by Des Fairbank on 30 and third place went to Sheldon McGlone on 40. Some Maritzburg Radio Yacht Club news is that MRYC will be in action again this coming Saturday afternoon, the 17th of May, sailing 36" Shipmates."
