3 October 2005

The annual Baysider.com Spring Regatta ended on 25 September on a great high. The event was a huge success with 39 yachts participating over a 2-week period.

Day one kicked off with light winds, sunny skies & beautiful flat seas, the kind of weather that makes sailing an absolute pleasure. Day 2 was quite the opposite, with winds gusting up to 44 knots and large swells in the Bay. Although the conditions were entirely different to the previous day, the leet still turned out in force to compete.

The second weekend was the opposite to the previous weekend with day 1 being the difficult weather day and the final day being a spectacular sailing day. Regardless of the weather, our hearty sailors who were once again out in full force to challenge one another for the winning spots in each category. Competition was close in each division and, in most cases; the final race really was the decider as to who would take the honours.

The results in each division are as follows:

Division 1
1st Place - Sixpack
2nd Place - Hi Fidelity
3rd Place - Our Dianne

Division 2
1st Place - Bandito
2nd Place - Telepassport
3rd Place - Warlock

Division 3

2nd Place - Duet
3rd Place - Pure Magic

2nd Place - Sea Shuttle
3rd Place - Nauti Buoy

Muira Class
