Images from the Dart Worlds sailed in East London, the start of the Heineken Cape to Bahai Race and of the Volvo 70 Brasil 1 undergoing repairs in Port Elizabeth.
Pictures from Orient Beach in East London where the Dart Worlds were sailed from the 24th of December until the 4th of Janaury. Sadly on the day that we visited there was no wind and consequently no sailing while we were there!
The Heineken Cape to Bahai Race started on Wednesday 4 January in a fresh south easterly. Seen here are the 2 KZN entries from Leisure Yachts, Unleashed and Unzipped, Polo Sport Gumption setting her spinnaker before getting on some serious pace towards Salvador and a group of boats including the Brazilian cat Adrenalina Pura which stormed into an early lead on the water.
Brasil 1 arrives in Port Elizabeth after suffering delamination to her deck during leg 2 of the Volvo Ocean Race.
